Explore Downtown Huntsville with the Downtown Decathlon

On your mark, get set, GO! Race to complete your Downtown Decathlon Card. Visit all 10 stops on the card by September 30 to redeem it for a free prize!

Downtown Huntsville, Inc. (DHI) is launching an exciting new activity, the Downtown Decathlon, designed to encourage residents and visitors alike to explore downtown and support local establishments. This fun promotion invites participants to experience the best of what Downtown Huntsville has to offer by completing various activities across ten categories.

How It Works
The goal of the Downtown Decathlon is simple: visit different types of downtown businesses and collect stickers to complete your card. Once you've filled your card, you can redeem it for a free Downtown Huntsville shirt. Here’s a breakdown of the steps to participate:

1. Pick Up Your Card- You can get your Downtown Decathlon card at any DHI event, DHI’s office, Light on Yoga Fitness, the Huntsville/Madison County Visitor’s Center, or Harrison Brothers Hardware.

2. Complete All 10 Activities- Your card features ten different categories of activities, each encouraging you to visit a variety of downtown spots. The categories include:

  • Visit Harrison Brothers Hardware

  • Attend an event hosted by DHI

  • Stop by the Huntsville/Madison County Visitors Center

  • Attend trivia night at a downtown business

  • Eat at a downtown restaurant

  • Make a purchase at a downtown retailer

  • Visit an establishment on the Craft Coffee Trail

  • Visit an establishment on the Craft Beer Trail

  • Take a class at a downtown fitness studio

  • Visit an establishment on the Craft Cocktail Trail

3. Collect Stickers- When you visit a participating establishment in each category, collect a sticker for your card from one of the staff members. If you visit a place not on the list of participating establishments, keep your receipt or ask a staff member to sign your card for verification. Just make sure the establishment is in a downtown district.

4. Redeem Your Completed Card- After completing all activities, redeem your card by September 30. Visit DHI’s office at 127 Washington St. or email downtowntrails@downtownhuntsville.org to claim your prize. All participants who finish their cards by the deadline will receive a free Downtown Huntsville shirt and other goodies.

To find the list of participating establishments, simply scan the QR code on the front of your Decathlon card or visit the Downtown Decathlon website. This list will help guide you to the various locations where you can earn stickers and discover new favorites.
